When it comes to getting to the paper, when it comes to stacking up the bread, you can’t play around. If you fly with the birds you turn into birdseed and won’t collect anything but bread crumbs. But it’s all about collecting more paper, getting more money, stacking up more bread. Don’t be satisfied with a 20 when you can have a 50. Don’t be satisfied turning $1 into $100 when you can turn that same dollar into $1000. And definitely don’t be satisfied with that, because doing more only means that you can do more.

“Nothing can hurt you more than your own thoughts unguarded” Buddha
Your thoughts will completely destroy your life if you allow them to. Your thoughts will also take your life into the highest of stratospheres if you allow them to. It really just comes down to whatever you decide you’re going to focus on. If you believe it, then it’s real; whether it is a positive belief or a negative belief is actually irrelevant. Wildly irrelevant in fact.
You can’t let the past dictate your future. You can’t allow who you used to be or what you used to believe dictate how you think now. Don’t allow for false messaging you received as a child to stop you from doing your thing as an adult. You have to turn your mind into an asset (as it should be). Most people’s minds have become liabilities because they have let the outside world convince them that their thought process isn’t good enough. That’s beyond ridiculous.

Every day you’re going to have to work hard. The sooner you accept this the sooner you’re giving yourself the chance to be great. You need to always be at level ten. You’re not going to get to take a whole lot of breaks, be on a whole lot of vacations, not if you want to be great, not if you actually want to accomplish something. You’ve got to have the mindset of realizing there isn’t ever going to be an end. There isn’t going to be a point where you can stop working hard and just relax, resting on the hard work you already did. That lifestyle doesn’t exist for those of us who are truly trying to be as productive as we can be out here.

You have to optimize everything in your life if you’re truly trying to get the most out of your time on this earth. You need to do more things that will put you in a position to be as productive as you possibly can. When you have specific goals, you need to design your life in a way that gives you the best opportunity to accomplish those goals in whatever time frame you’d like to accomplish them in.
If your goal is to become a top level athletic, then do yourself a favor and cut out the McDonald’s. You’re not Ocho Cinco. You should eat as healthy as you can, you should work out as hard as you can, you should study your sport as much as you can. This is what is going to put you in the best position to succeed. Half assing your workouts and cheating on your diet is only going to leave you in a position where you have heavy regrets and bitterness.
Be clear, bitterness and regret doesn’t come from the things we do in life. Bitterness and regret ultimately comes from you yourself not doing everything that is in your power to get the results you want or results you expect. If you give something your all and you fail, you are not going to be bitter about it… at all. Nor should you be. If you test yourself, push yourself to the limits, and you’re simply not good enough for whatever reason, or it just doesn’t work out for you, I promise you that you are not going to be upset about it. The thing is, the likelihood of you giving your complete all and not succeeding is beyond minimal. It’s infantile.

At no point should you ever feel completely comfortable with where you are. I’m not pushing you to live a life full of enhanced stress and heavy desperation, but you also can’t just take things for granted and think you’re owed the position you’re in in life, no matter how good that position is, no matter how hard you worked to get there. There’s always another level that you can get to if you’re willing to work harder than you’ve ever worked before, and more importantly it is incredibly easy to drop a level if you decide that you’ve already done enough work in life and think you’re going to coast.
Even if you think your life is great now, it can get better. Even if you think you’re at a high level of production already, you can become even more productive. Even if you have already accomplished more than you ever could have imagined in life, there is definitely a lot more out there for you to accomplish. The mindset is more. There is always more work to do. There are always more people to help. There are always more great things to experience. There are always more fantastic opportunities for you to be a part of. Embrace the more. Don’t ever become complacent. Always strive for more, and strive for more after that.

A seed doesn’t just lay in the ground, complaining about how difficult life is, how everything is holding it down, DESPITE literally being buried beneath everything. It just keeps its head down, stays focused on the goal, and eventually grows into a mighty tree. If a literal seed can do that, then any seed planted within your mind can produce something amazing.

When dealing with the majority of people, particularly all of the average people, it’s best you never actually ever engage in an argument or discussion with any of them. Your best bet with the majority is to simply smile and nod your head in agreement with WHATEVER other people think and say. Even when you know they are completely wrong and off base, it does you no benefit to actually point this out. The ensuing argument will simply drain your energy and brainpower. Do yourself a favor and simply ignore 95% of what people say while letting them feel you agree with them.

The more you put into anything, the more you’re going to get out of it. That’s why I recommend you take the harder path in life. You need to seek more challenges — both in number and in level of difficulty. The harder the challenges and obstacles you overcome in your life, the better and easier your life will eventually become.
